توضیحات
ECU يا واحد کنترل الکترونيکي خودرو، مغز متفکر خودرو محسوب مي‌شود. اين واحد، تمامي عملکردهاي الکترونيکي خودرو را کنترل و هماهنگ مي‌کند. از سيستم ترمز گرفته تا سيستم تزريق سوخت و سيستم تهويه مطبوع، همه تحت کنترل ECU قرار دارند.
تراشه يا آي‌سي (Integrated Circuit) قلب تپنده ECU است. اين قطعه کوچک، حاوي ميليون‌ها ترانزيستور است که وظيفه پردازش اطلاعات و تصميم‌گيري را بر عهده دارند.
انواع تراشه‌هاي مورد استفاده در ECU
تراشه‌هاي مختلفي در ECU خودروها استفاده مي‌شوند که هر کدام وظيفه خاصي را بر عهده دارند. برخي از مهم‌ترين انواع اين تراشه‌ها عبارتند از:
ميکروکنترلر (Microcontroller): اين تراشه، مغز اصلي ECU است و کليه عمليات‌هاي محاسباتي و کنترلي را انجام مي‌دهد. ميکروکنترلرها معمولاً داراي حافظه داخلي، ورودي‌ها و خروجي‌هاي ديجيتال و آنالوگ هستند.
حافظه (Memory): حافظه‌هاي مختلفي مانند ROM، RAM و EEPROM در ECU استفاده مي‌شوند. ROM براي ذخيره برنامه‌هاي ثابت، RAM براي ذخيره داده‌هاي موقت و EEPROM براي ذخيره تنظيمات کاربر استفاده مي‌شوند.

Microcontroller: This chip is the main brain of the ECU and performs all the calculation and control operations. Microcontrollers usually have internal memory, digital and analog inputs and outputs.
