CS209A يک مدار يکپارچه دو قطبي است که براي استفاده در برنامه‌هاي تشخيص فلز و حسگرهاي نزديکي طراحي شده است. اين IC شامل دو رگولاتور جريان داخلي، نوسان‌ساز و مدارهاي بازخورد با سطح پايين، مدار تشخيص پيک/دمودولاسيون، مقايسه‌کننده و دو مرحله خروجي مکمل است.
نوسان‌ساز به همراه يک شبکه خارجي LC نوسانات کنترل‌شده‌اي توليد مي‌کند که دامنه آن به شدت به Q مخزن LC وابسته است. در شرايط Q پايين، يک مدار بازخورد متغير با سطح پايين براي حفظ نوسان‌ها نيرو فراهم مي‌کند. دمودولاتور پيک قسمت منفي محيط نوسان‌ساز را شبيه‌سازي کرده و يک شکل موج دمودوله‌شده به ورودي مقايسه‌کننده ارسال مي‌کند. مقايسه‌کننده وضعيت‌هاي خروجي‌هاي مکمل را با مقايسه ورودي دمودولاتور با مرجع داخلي تنظيم مي‌کند. بارهاي خارجي براي پين‌هاي خروجي مورد نياز هستند.
يک مدار سرکوب ترانزيت منفي براي جذب ترانزيت‌هاي منفي در ترمينال مدار مخزن گنجانده شده است.

Description
The CS209A is a bipolar monolithic integrated circuit designed for metal detection and proximity sensing applications. This IC contains two on-chip current regulators, an oscillator, low-level feedback circuitry, a peak detection/demodulation circuit, a comparator, and two complementary output stages.
The oscillator, along with an external LC network, provides controlled oscillations where the amplitude is highly dependent on the Q of the LC tank. During low Q conditions, a variable low-level feedback circuit provides drive to maintain oscillation. The peak demodulator senses the negative portion of the oscillator is envelope and provides a demodulated waveform as input to the comparator. The comparator sets the states of the complementary outputs by comparing the input from the demodulator to an internal reference. External loads are required for the output pins.
A transient suppression circuit is included to absorb negative transients at the tank circuit terminal.
