ISL9520 يک تنظيم کننده ولتاژ سيستم VDC باريک و کنترل کننده شارژر باتري است. پارامترهاي عملياتي روي گذرگاه مديريت سيستم (SMBus) قابل برنامه ريزي هستند.
ISL9520 براي کاربردهايي طراحي شده است که منبع تغذيه سيستم بسته باتري يا خروجي رگولاتور/شارژر است. اين باعث مي شود حداکثر ولتاژ سيستم به جاي حداکثر ولتاژ آداپتور، برابر با حداکثر ولتاژ باتري باشد.
ISL9520 همچنين شامل يک سيستم ثبت اختراع براي کنترل باتري‌هاي تخليه شده با شارژ قطره‌اي است و در عين حال ولتاژ سيستم را در حداقل تعريف شده کاربر حفظ مي‌کند.
راندمان بالا با مبدل باک يکسو کننده سنکرون DC/DC، مجهز به شبيه سازي ديود و فرکانس سوئيچينگ متغير براي افزايش بازده بار نور و جلوگيري از تقويت آداپتور AC به دست مي آيد.
ISL9520 مي تواند دو، سه يا چهار سلول ليتيوم يون متصل به سري را با جريان شارژ حداکثر 8 آمپر شارژ کند. تنظيمات پيش‌فرض براي عملکرد 2، 3 يا 4 سلولي هنگام روشن شدن توسط يک پين خارجي انتخاب مي‌شوند. درايورهاي ماسفت يکپارچه و ديود بوت استرپ منجر به اجزاي کمتر و ناحيه پياده سازي کوچکتر مي شود. تقويت کننده هاي سنسور جريان کم افست دقت بالايي را ارائه مي دهند.
Description
The ISL9520 is a highly integrated Narrow VDC system voltage regulator and battery charger controller. Operating parameters are programmable over the System Management Bus (SMBus).
The ISL9520 is designed for applications where the system power source is either the battery pack or the output of the regulator/charger. This makes the max voltage to the system equal to the max battery voltage instead of the max adapter voltage.
The ISL9520 also includes a patented system to control trickle charging deeply discharged batteries while maintaining system voltage at a user defined minimum.
High efficiency is achieved with a DC/DC synchronous-rectifier buck converter, equipped with diode emulation and variable switching frequency for enhanced light load efficiency and AC-adapter boosting prevention.
The ISL9520 can charge two, three, or four series connected Lithium-ion cells, at up to 8A charge current. Default settings for 2-, 3- or 4-cell operation at power-up are selected by an external pin. Integrated MOSFET drivers and bootstrap diode result in fewer components and smaller implementation area. Low offset current-sense amplifiers provide high accuracy.
