آي‌سي IP178G يک کنترلر سوئيچ 8 پورته 10/100 با مصرف توان بسيار پايين (فقط 0.95 وات) و تغذيه 3.3 ولت است که از فناوري‌هاي صرفه‌جويي در مصرف انرژي مانند APS، IEEE 802.3az، WOL® و PWD پشتيباني مي‌کند. اين چيپ در صورت عدم پشتيباني دستگاه‌هاي متصل از IEEE 802.3az، با استفاده از WOL® لينک را از 100Mbps به 10Mbps کاهش مي‌دهد تا انرژي ذخيره شود. قابليت PWD نيز امکان خاموش يا روشن کردن سريع دستگاه را تنها با فشردن يک دکمه بدون نياز به قطع برق فراهم مي‌سازد. ويژگي AFT® امکان تست خودکار و کامل دستگاه را بدون نياز به تجهيزات اضافه و تنها با دکمه و کابل فراهم کرده است. از نظر مديريت داده، IP178G از QoS با اولويت‌بندي بر پايه پورت، 802.1p، DiffServ و شماره پورت TCP/UDP پشتيباني مي‌کند. همچنين از عملکرد Auto MDI-MDX، تنظيم اولويت پورت VIP از طريق پين، و طول بسته تا 1552 بايت پشتيباني دارد. اين چيپ داراي بافر داخلي 448Kbit بوده و براي کاربردهاي کم‌مصرف شبکه‌اي گزينه‌اي ايده‌آل به‌شمار مي‌رود.
Description
The IP178G is an 8-port 10/100 switch controller with ultra-low power consumption (only 0.95W) and operates with a single 3.3V power supply. It supports various power-saving technologies such as APS, IEEE 802.3az, WOL®, and PWD. When connected devices do not support IEEE 802.3az, the chip uses WOL® to reduce the link speed from 100Mbps to 10Mbps for energy saving. The PWD feature allows the device to be powered off or on instantly with the press of a button, without unplugging the adapter. The AFT® function enables full self-testing of the device using just a button and cables, eliminating the need for additional test equipment. In terms of data management, the IP178G supports QoS with prioritization based on port, 802.1p, DiffServ, and TCP/UDP port numbers. It also supports Auto MDI-MDX, VIP port prioritization via pin configuration, and packet lengths up to 1552 bytes. With an internal 448Kbit buffer, this chip is an ideal solution for low-power networking applications.
